137.
Shots. 137 shots. Fired. 137 shots fired at 2 unarmed civilians. Not in Iraq. Nor in Ramadi. But in Cleveland, OH. By the Cleveland police. The officer involved was found not guilty on all charges. He was protected by the Constitution. The same piece of paper that never considered us full citizens anyway. The same document that kept us enslaved until the 13th Amendment. The Supreme Law that encourages white supremacy and protects its interests. The U.S. Constitution made it ok to brutally murder two Cleveland citizens. No one should die that way. No one. But Judge P O'Donnell saw fit for Officer Brelo to walk because he was a hero. Yes, a hero. Hero is defined as a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities; in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. Brelo's actions were not heroic but cowardly, cruel and callous. Insensitive. Inhumane. Reckless. Sadistic. Those are not descriptions of a hero. But yet, he lives on and walks as a free man. If that is justice served, I want no parts. 137. Shots. 137 shots. 137 shots fired at 2 unarmed civilians. They died. Don't let their degraded departure die too. Always remember. 137. - NL Read story here: http://www.democracynow.org/2015/5/26/137_shots_no_convictions_cleveland_cop
